A big thank you also in 2024 when I replaced an original Becker Avus Cassette with a 1-DIN car radio with touchscreen control, the only unpretentious I found was sold in Germany, fitting at least in terms of design in my E 300 Coupe by being able to change display colors.

Thanks for the video! I’m having the same issue you mentioned with the tail light module. My audio will cut out intermittently for a few seconds then turn back on. Do you still think that’s an issue with the tail light module? Or the voice module? If I discover that the issue is the tail light module do I need to replace it? Or can I leave it bypassed? My screen isn't going up, but the radio works normal. Only the screen isn't going up. I tried reseting by pressing those 3 buttons at the same time like I've seen in some videos but it didn't fix it. What could it be?

Two things - as mentioned by another do NOT pry apart the grab handle. The clips are one-way and you'll break them off. You'll be gluing it back together or buying one used. Take off the panel above the cup holder and the whole thing comes loose with a 10mm IIRC socket. Getting it back together involves some wiggling but way better than broken parts. Second - don't take off the A/C vent to get to the lower left screw. 7mm socket on a universal joint with a six inch extension does it. Stuff some dumdum or other sticky putty into the socket so the screw doesn't fall out. Trust me, on the 2009 at least that vent is like a puzzle to get apart and worse to re-assemble. If you do lose a screw it's p/n 11589012 and they're on Amazon among other places.

Do NOT do this!! The grab handle does not come apart. At 1:42 you see he has broken all the clips that held the grab handle together. The correct way is to remove the side cover above the cup holder then take of the grab handle held by two bolts. ebay is fully stocked with grab handles that were removed the right way. Have $100 ready because that's what they're going for. Also, mark the chromed plastic shift cover with tape or grease pencil so you know how to align the inner and outer upon re-assembly.

I opened mine last week , it looked like someone had severed the holes in the wire . I was thinking of replacing the entire cable , since you cant splice fiber optic cables . But where does the other end of the wire go ? Is it the module under the glove box ? Thanks again

Hi I have a 14 A6 Premium when I brought the car the screen wasn't working properly so I changed out the headunit for a flip out android 12.3 inch I love the new headunit but I still can't use any of the MMI settings especially the language part because the car has been in German since brought it about 2 months ago. Is there a way that I can get to the language setup on the dash? Or I have to change it thur the MMI system. As I mentioned earlier I have the android headunit in now but it came with the CAN BUS cable so I can switch back and forth from the factory MMi system to the android but when I switch back to the factory MMI system the screen is still black but I can use all the options. So I guess my questions is how do I change the language from German to English if I can't access the menu thru MMI ant help or advice would be appreciated.Thanks

Having issues with my lexus ct200h. The pop up screen won’t open, nor will the headunit power on at all so there is no audio whatsoever. I’ve checked fuses and nothing is blown. I can get the pop up screen to open by forcing it, it will close automatically when car is switched off however the screen is completely blank. Any ideas what it could be or how to diagnose fault?
